Meet the IRDP/TRIGGER project participant and budding entrepreneur, Alisher Karimov, who founded from scratch an online store called Big Street, which is now developing both online and offline.
In the prepared interview you will learn a little more about his project.
Why did you decide to become an entrepreneur? How did the idea come to you?
I was in 9th grade, then I decided to work and got a job in a restaurant as a waiter. But, unfortunately, the management’s attitude to their subordinates was complicated, rude, that day I decided for myself that I would work only for myself, not for hire. I began to search, the team, the products, so I founded my first online store.
What have you gained by participating in the IRDP/TRIGGER project?
We are starting to develop our online store, at that time, unfortunately, our team did not know much as I did, so I was looking for where to learn and how. It is very important to combine practice and theory in parallel with the work we were studying, we went to training and one of them was the IRDP/TRIGGER project, where we were taught about the basics, practical cases, which have already worked. That’s how I started to learn and develop in parallel.
Share a few tips with aspiring entrepreneurs?
The most important thing I want to tell you is just try, if you do not succeed, study, watch You Tube videos on the Internet, there are many great opportunities in Tajikistan, there are trainings, bootcamps, accelerations, everything you need to develop. If you fail the first time, try again and again and you will succeed.
Will you share your results?
Today we opened our first offline outlet, but at the same time we work with those who are in other regions, to whom it is convenient to get their order at home. On April 15 we opened a store in the city center in the shopping center “Anisa” on the 3rd floor, be sure to come.
