On October 21-22, an informational and educational festival for rural women was held in Bokhtar, on the occasion of the International Day of Rural Women.
The purpose of the festival was to strengthen the capacity of rural women by highlighting the importance of women entrepreneurship and leadership role in rural development.

In the framework of the Festival there was a product exhibition where Saiyora Bobohonova, Marziya Murodova – participants of the Integrated Rural Development Project / TRIGGER, demonstrated their services and products.
Jumaboi Shomurodov, the national expert of the @tajik_startups project also conducted a master class for first-time entrepreneurs titled “How to start a small business” and explained how to create a business strategy that will help to turn an idea into a successful business.

During the panel discussion, Simo Miralizoda, a participant in the Integrated Rural Development Project/ TRIGGER, shared her Lamassito success story and how women can actively get involved in business.

The event was held with the support of local state authorities, ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, Committee for Women and Family Affairs under the Government of Tajikistan, Committee for Local Development under the President of Tajikistan with the technical and financial assistance of Development Partners including (EU, GIZ).
